PRIDE | SEVEN DEADLY SINS
by Insane51.

Limited Edition of 125

Insane51 was first interested in the anaglyph technique which allows to create different optical illusions.

He now goes a step further by inserting subliminal images, revealed exclusively by wearing stereoscopic glasses.

Skillfully combining red and cyan, the artist superimposes several layers of paint to conceal a subliminal image.

Thus, this print offers a three-dimensional illusionary effect.

“I was a huge fan of the “Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure”, a video game where you play as an amateur graffiti artist, who creates pieces and tags. After finishing the game, I decided to go out on the streets and practice.”

State Of Peace.

“You have more freedom on the wall. The road has no rules. It is not a gallery; it does not have anyone to decide what is allowed and what is not. I am excited about this freedom, to be able to capture what I want, how I want it and to share it with the world.”

Bio

Stathis Tsavalias, aka Insane51 is an artist known for his intricate and ever-innovative spray painting that pushes the ideas of graffiti.

His earlier works first focused upon using colour and form to experiment with different techniques, further into his career to now his specialisation wanders around the notions of photorealism, and overlaying images.

Insane51 adds two images in both red and green and overlaps the two to create a three-dimensional illusionary effect.

The X-ray is a helpful tool when you are at the hospital and the doctors think you may have a broken leg. But we never get too intimate with this form of technology and its ability to see other “layers” inside us, due to its toxic radiation.

What if you could see the inside and the outside of the person you were standing in front of right now? What would that be like? This combination of simultaneous layers of inside and outside is what Greekartist Insane51 specializes in.
